<lj:music>DO THE HOKEY FUCKING POKEY AND YOU TURN YOURSELF AROUND. (Psychostick, ILY)</lj:music>

So. Another lovely summer of doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING has just about passed, and what do we have to show of it?

Nothing.

And it's wonderful.

But boredom has driven me to doing what I swore I never would; upload travel pictures

Just a forewarning; this will be dull. This will be boring. Despite the awesomeness that is molesting Mattie's surlier half, I find myself much more enthralled with architecture than I should be. So this will largely be a bunch of buildings, with only a few, poorly taken pictures of other stuff thrown in.

So.

IRREFUTABLE PROOOF~!

A classy clothing store.

A kickass mural

Another kickass mural

So this here is an enormous disco ball hanging in the middle of an outdoor cafe-thing. I don't know <i>why</i> it was there, per se, but I <i>do</i> know that it is the greatest thing I've ever seen.

Freaking awesome building.

Fan-freaking-tabulous.

Same building (a hotel?) at night.

Mmm, timepiece...

S-so shiny....

So symmetrical. So very symmetrical. <3

These are all from the Parliament Building, or just outside it.

I LOVE THIS FOUNTAIN MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE IN THE WORLD.

The building itself.

... Which was absolutely COVERED in statues.

CLOCK TOWER.

... Because we could go inside. There was much rejoicing.

Fun Fact! The reason why the floor looks like a set for TV is because it is! They were renting out this place, apparently, which I find to be absolutely hilarious.

Mmmm....

So, another fun fact! All throughout the lobby (or was it, in fact, the whole building?) there were these nifty wooden panels, each sporting the name of a person who served a pivitol role in Canada's development. Nestled among them was this shining star, proving that the Colbert nation is not simply an American affair.

Some Statues:

This thing is perhaps a bit shy of famous, but that doesn't stop them from merchandising the crap out of it.

The pope! Or someone of similar fashion sense. (Clearly yelling at those dern hippies to get off his lawn)

This, children, is what happens when you don't turn the tap off immediately after finishing with it.

A nifty, ghost-esque statue/fountain.

Gandhi Bust! (Oh, my)

Louis XIV in all his manry glory.

Thorny business on a museum's roof-garden thing

But they turned into Staaars~

A Sad, Sad lighthouse, landlocked and useful only to drunkards trying to figure out where the road is (well, it will at least show them where it <i>isn't</i>)

I really shouldn't find such rabble-rousing graffiti as hilarious as I do.

So, in summary, ILY, MATTHEW WILLIAMS. AND YOUR SURLIER BITS.

I may get around to cleaning up some of the Cirque du Soleil pictures (to bring them from WTF AM I LOOKING AT to something more than a blur.

But one did come out well enough. And it is my favorite.

Big ol' jellyfish on a stick. Oh CRAP, yes. <3

Moving on from that lovefest, today I was wandering across the far reaches of the internet, exploring each portal delivered to me by My Master (Google), when I stumbled into a steaming pile of AkuRoku love. Or something. Actually, not at all, but HEY, it still made me a very happy dorkataur. What, you ask?
THIS.
It is a screencap from a pre/sequel that doubtlessly been released by now, that is for the DS fer crap's sake, yet I shall never see it as I am a silly American. Le Siiiigh...

BUT HEY. It's nice to see that, despite KH2's insistance, Axel isn't dead to the developers <3
Oh. And Roxas, too. But, more importantly, ~Axel~!
Oh, and I'VE RESERVED L4D2 AND HAVE ALREADY VOWED TO SKIP SCHOOL ON THE 17TH.
AND IF THE UPCOMING MOVIE, ZOMBIELAND HAS A MIDNIGHT SHOW, I AM ALL OVER THAT LIKE A HOBO ON A HAM SANDWICH. AND I MUST MAKE MYSELF A ZOMBIE COSTUME.
GUESS WHAT I'M GONNA BE FOR SENIOR DRESS-UP DAY.

That is all.

I have watched more Twilight Zone in this past weekend than I have seen in my entire life. Just saying.

And HAPPY BIRTHDAY, US AND... AND.... SOMEONE ELSE! This has been a great week for all stuff North American. Which makes me a happy person <3 (But where's the Cuba, people?! He's awesome like whoa)

So. Decided to try animation. It's not nearly as difficult as one would imagine but HOLY CRAP it's tedious. (Although I may just think that 'cause I'm using silly pirated programs >.>) And quality, non-flash-ish animation, though, takes too much effort. Excuse the lazy.

The result, thus far, is this lil' Hungary thing! Plus some .gif romping.

(Inspired by Ballroom Blitz in a way that is impossible to explain without sounding insane)

In other news, finished Danmark's patch on the latest scarf, but I cannot quite continue without feedback.

The octopus is proving difficult. Graar.

OH! Actual NEWS~! Celebrated Canada Day by solidifying plans to visit Quebec! Now I just have to scramble to learn some Quebecois and I'll be set and ready to go. IT"LL BE GREAT.

And, that's about it. Except for the fact that, in playing Turkey, I have become acutely aware that I really don't know how to do angry!anger, only sarcastic!anger. Aah, well...

All I did to the hair was recolor (Because it is a freaking lovely thing, man), but once I figure something out, I'll hopefully add the ohage. The body I played with a bit more, making the jacket open and longer . What a sad, strange world this has become...

BUT. ON THE BRIGHT SIDE OF LIFE, THE UNIVERSE AND EVERYTHING. HETALIA ANIME. MY GOD. The degree of EXTREME happiness is immeasurable. Just... Ahh....
Chibitalia has an adorable voice. As expected. Germany is awesome, America is a dork, Russia is creepy, and all is right with the world. Much love.
Although, the ending inexplicably has the Axis powers drinking liquor from shoes. I fail to see the subliminal symbolism in that, but hey. I enjoy it regardless. Especially the complete and total suspense! as Germany has a staring match with a box of (Italian!) tomatoes. Mmm, where's Spain when you need him...?

Aah, well then. Key to establishing a simple, temporary connection between two people that will hopefully be affirmed by further communication. Serves as nothing but an ice-breaker. But when he was asked, he thought and pondered, weighed his options, but couldn't come to a good conclusion. He hadn't tasted ALL of the food out there, so how could he assume that what he's had is the best there is?

So he went on a quest. A quest to try everything. From the sherpa-made meals from the peaks of the Alps to the alien fish of the Mariana Trench. And yet, the single greatest moment of his life was not marked by a long journey and an exotic location, but by a trip to the grocer's down the street. It did not have an exquisite, intricate, yet subtle taste with a texture that was just as mysterious, but a light, fluffy goo-iness and no prevailing taste other than pure sugar. Who would have thought that something that costs two dollars a bag would do for him what hundred-dollar meals could not? But he had found it. His answer to life, the universe and everything.

Marshmallows.

BROUGHT TO YOU BY

THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM TYL. Gonna leave that for another hour/day/week that isn't quite so blurry. (Got up waaaaaay too early).
'M gonna go coffee hunting...

Oh, decided that there should be a band named The Chromatids. First album = Mitosis, with each song relating loosely to inter, pro, meta, ana, telo, and cytokenisis. Without actually referring to them, of course. And the next would have to be Meiosis, like the first but with innuendo and P, M, A, T, and C have two separate parts, or something of the like.
Would be best if "I Punch Midgets At The Circus" was incorporated somehow.
I feel like a dorkataur...

And his dealings with Hibari. I have never before wished more to be able to read/understand Japanese.
According to Wiki, "Mafia" is a genre. <lj:music>Yo Ho, Yo Ho = (YHO2)2 = Pirate?</lj:music>
So, working today proved to be a rather mindless task. Really. That allowed our mind to wander. Lead to much pondering that we rather felt would be nice to look back on. Perhaps as young naivete, perhaps just to reminisce fondly. "Ahhh, to be young again" and all that. So.

First up, just because it is the only fandom one, Lambo has the most messed up time line I've ever seen.

Beware flying, not fandom related, poo.

So. Life, the universe, and everything. Such fun. What it means, I don't know. Whether or not there's a point, I don't care. Does it really matter? You live as you can, -do- what you can, but it's never enough. So, really, why do people insist on finding meaning? What's wrong with just living? Why does there always have to be some secret reason behind doing so? Life fails at times. More times than not, actually. But even so, despite, or perhaps because of all of the massive amounts of fail out there, life is really freaking funny, which is all that it takes for it to be worth continuing. All of the horrendously ridiculous situations, be they positive or negative in nature, makes this endless, hopeless cycle bearable, even enjoyable. When I randomly begin laughing, I usually brush it off to others as being an odd train of thought I had. And, often, that is exactly what it is. However sometimes what I find so funny is precisely what's going on around me, what everyone else is seeing. They just don't get the joke, the simple yet subtle punchline that often goes undetected unless one looks for it. I -do- look for it, because, in my jaded eyes, that's really all there is to see. When life loses its meaning, all that's left is a series of seconds, becoming minutes, hours, days, et cetera. They may not culminate into anything productive, but then nobody has ever, could ever promise that they would. To accept the world for what it really is is all that one can do. To reject illusions, empty promises and assurances, and take on reality for all that it's worth, is the only thing that I could possibly do to make living easier. Because it won't get easier. Now is the best that life will get, with minimal responsibilities and worries. From here on, it's just downhill. So, if I can take the world for what it is, then that should make it an easier place to live in, yes? I can only hope that, when the time comes that everything becomes more overwhelming, I can still see all that I can now, that the joke doesn't suddenly become elusive in nature, obscured in meaning. If, ten years from now, I still get the joke, I will be shocked, perhaps unnerved, but certainly happy.

Another thing we spent a while trying to make sense of is religion. The world's number one pass time. I can see why some people may feel the need to believe, with conviction, that this, right now, isn't all there is, that there is something more. Otherwise, ZOMG! There may be no meaning to this all! I don't have that problem. See above paragraph. So, my oh-so-objective mind has to think that each religion is rather silly, in its own little way. They each have a history of violence, because people feel the need to take things way too seriously. Ahh, extremists. Basically, at one point or another, each religion was killing another group of some sort for what they claimed to be religious reasons. People really like blaming God for their own intolerance. I would rather have nothing to do with such silly matters, demure though they may be in our tiny town. Each one feels superior to the others, which makes no sense considering that they all started out as underground cults, shunned by whatever beliefs happened to be popular at the time. They each apparently long for the day when they can persecute some other up-and-coming religion. Excuse me if I find that stupid. And, honestly, how can these things be taken seriously in modern day? They all have such ridiculous stories that they claim to be real. Zombies, magic oil, amd reincarnation. Take your pick.
Oh, yes, a side not regarding Reincarnation; that would explain why it seems that so few people these days are capable of logical thought. The soul-pool is being spread about too thinly with growing population, leaving people with half the basic capacities that they once had. Oh, wait, no. It is just as ridiculous a concept either way. The only way that Reincarnation would work is if the current world we live in is purgatory. That is also the only way that I could possibly accept that one's time alive is to be determined by a higher power. If this is purgatory, or some such state, then one would assume that one would be stuck here for a preset amount of time. When it has been served, one may leave. If one dies before the time is served, then one may have to return to finish up. So that is that.

An offhand comment lead to our pondering the meaning of age, growing up. Yes, the earth's rotation around the sun is a convenient benchmark, but that really means nothing. I still think of myself as a Freshman. It has nothing to do with school, though. I think that actual progress in life is measured by what one has learned, not of academics, but of life. Freshman year was when I had decided to fully embrace the hilarity of life, regardless of what may come. I had been toying with the idea a number of years before hand, but that was the time when I had decided that I really, really liked it. So, since I haven't changed very much since then, I have issues with counting progress on a time line as being actual progress. I guess that I've been going through epiphanies a bit sooner than most; I first started feeling like a useless drain on society at around age seven (or a bit earlier... before we moved, certainly) and I realized how horrible the world really is at the start of middle school, but I can't help but think of my age/maturity in terms of when my last radical realization/chang in thinking took place. So, I'm still a Freshman. Probably will be for quite a while.

That's all I care to bother with at the moment. There is more, certainly, but I think that that is quite enough for now. Probably forever, too.

<lj:music>The Screaming of Lost Souls? WHO LEFT THE BASEMENT DOOR OPEN!?!</lj:music>

Ugh.

Tried to do a Ryouhei/Gokudera fanfic. One hundred words in, got distracted by another idea. Then another, 500 later. All of them, coincidentally, fail. Boo. Finished the third one, though - a rather dull 8059. Meh.
I do apologize, KHR fandom. You did not deserve this.... Still gonna try to finish Ryouhei one. It's a matter of principle, now.

Oh, yeah, new opening? Kinda dull. But we enjoy the ending, with it's adorkable nature. And they added the HaruHaru Interviews. Should be interesting...

Oh, yeah PART TWO
Just saw "How to Lose Friends and Alienate People" - a movie starring -TADA- Simon Pegg. FTW. Certainly more awkward than Hot Fuzz, Run Fatboy, Run, and Shawn of the Dead, but awesome none-the-less. And, did we mention, SIMON PEGG was in it? And that lady what played Scully on X-Files, if my eyes are to be believed (don't remember her name 'cause she's not David Duchovny). But, yeah. And they had a song by The Killers. I enjoyed it.

OH YEAH! (Getting redundant by now, eh?)
Finished Tsuna Mittens. Two pairs, by now, however each one is somewhat different. I can't quite keep myself from changing the pattern slightly each time to (hopefully) make them better. Meh

OH FREAKING YEAH! (No comment!)
Happy World Animal Day!
So.

----

Gokudera was so tired of this.

The idiot just annoyed him so much. Merely seeing the guy made Gokudera’s blood boil as a sort of anxiety inexplicably gripped him. Whenever he tried to ignore him, he somehow became much more aware of him, suddenly unable to focus on much else. This could not continue.

He had to do something.

But first, he needed to take a detour.

Outside of the Tenth’s house, he found Lambo napping on the walkway. Gokudera picked up the stupid cow before digging through his forest of hair, grimacing every time he came across a wet or sticky patch, which was very often. After an uncomfortable moment of searching, while the child resolutely remained asleep, Gokudera finally felt the cool metal he was looking for. He freed the contraption from its hairy prison, tossed the kid aside (finally waking him up), and left for the school, ignoring Lambo’s wails about stolen property and the resulting questions from the Tenth’s mother. Right now, he had to hurry. He was on a mission.

And, besides, baseball practice was almost over,

---

“Ah! Hey, Gokudera!” Yamamoto gave him a ridiculous grin and waved. Gokudera continued to glare in response, shifting the oversized weapon in his hands to get a more comfortable grip.

Yamamoto’s expression became somewhat uneasy at the silence, eyes falling on the oversized hunk of metal held by the other boy. "Gokudera?" That his classmate had the gall to sound concerned just made Gokudera angrier. He leveled the weapon he held until its business end pointed directly at Yamamoto

"Be quite." He growled dangerously.

For once, the idiot caught on to the potential threat. His eyes widened as he suddenly adopted an anxious demeanor. "Whoa! Hold on a minute-"

"Shut up!" Gokudera squeezed his eyes shut as he fired the bazooka, enveloping the bewildered baseball player in a cloud of pink smoke. Moments later, the haze cleared to reveal Yamamoto only... not. The swordsman was tense, on guard, which made sense, considering his sudden shift in location and timeline. His wary stance slowly melted into one of confusion.

“Hayato?” Déjà vu. Taller, yes, stronger, perhaps, more attentive, certainly, but Yamamoto hadn’t really changed. Gokudera wasn’t sure how he felt about that, although he was glad to have that to ponder instead of the potentially hazardous train of thought that may follow any wondering about why he had called him by his first name.

Reining any remaining irritation, Gokudera calmly put down the weapon and managed a level tone at the same time. “Ten year bazooka, long story. Just listen, okay?” He couldn’t quite prevent the irritated edge that leaked into the last words. Yamamoto nodded agreeably and fell silent, waiting.

"l... Ehh..." He sighed. He needed to focus, damn it! He had less than five minutes to get this all straightened out. His narrowed eyes finally found the older Yamamoto, gaze fixed, even as he said, "I think I like you."

Gokudera felt his face flush, but didn't look away from Yamamoto. Stubbornness, pure and simple, was the only thing that kept him fleeing. To run was to lose, and he would not be beaten by the baseball nut, regardless of how old he was.

An uncomfortable moment passed in complete silence until Yamamoto finally broke it. “And…?” he asked, expression revealing nothing but calm amusement.

“And, what?” Gokudera demanded, completely failing to manage his temper as it flared. That idiot always did this to him, reduced him to a spluttering mess of annoyance. He was starting to think that this was a bad idea.

“Well,” Started Yamamoto, not missing a beat. “Why tell me and not the one you really like?”

Gokudera found himself unable to control his annoyance any further. “Idiot! You-“

“Ahh,” Yamamoto interrupted, serene tone somehow completely overtaking Gokudera’s. “I see. If you were to tell the me of this time, you may be rejected, or even worse, have to follow up on it. And, if I were to reject you, you would have ten years to get over your feelings.” He shot an easy grin at Gokudera. “Am I right?”

The Storm Guardian fell silent, flush deepening further, resolutely looking anywhere but at Yamamoto.

The man laughed, rich and amused without the slightest hint of irony. “I see,” He said, plopping his hand atop Gokudera’s head. “Don’t worry about it.”

Gokudera looked up to see Yamamoto beaming at him, and in this moment when he should be feeling… Happy? Relieved? He wanted nothing more than to punch the swordsman in the face. He had already been mentally cursing the man’s every fiber for being so much taller than he was, putting him at a disadvantage. Being treated as a child on top of that certainly didn’t help.

“Oi…” He growled dangerously, warningly. Despite the previous observational and deductive abilities he had shown, Yamamoto seemed oblivious. Gokudera moved to swat away the hand resting on his head, but found himself hitting nothing but air, just as a cloud of pink smoke enveloped him. So, his five minutes were up.

He backed up a few steps, bringing himself to a more acceptable distance from the person still obscured by haze. When the cloud dissipated, it revealed a younger Yamamoto, brought back to his rightful era. The baseball player, however, looked oddly disheveled. His attention turned to Gokudera, whom he gave an incredulous look, although it quickly shifted to one of confusion, before finally settling on thoughtfulness. That lasted for all of five seconds before Yamamoto’s face adopted the hue of a tomato. “Aha ha ha… Ahh… I’ve gotta go.” He said quickly, ducking his head. “I’ll see you… err… later. Bye.” He ran as if he were being chased by a chainsaw-wielding maniac in a direction that certainly did not lead to his house. Gokudera wasn’t quite sure that the idiot had noticed that last fact. He couldn’t help but wonder, though, what had happened during Yamamoto’s five minutes in the future. Based on the Rain Guardian’s reaction, Gokudera could assume it wasn’t good and involved himself, yet, at the moment, that really didn’t bother him.

He had his answer, his assurance. Sure, he was probably not going to do anything with it, but it was still good to know.

He walked home, mind feeling clearer than it had in weeks.

Suddenly, I find myself being very busy.

Got all caught up in KHR, manga and anime, which is nice. Well, nice doesn't quite cover it. More like HOLYCRUDMASSIVEWIN. Rocking the caps lock...
The annoying thing is that it makes me want to write fanfic. Which I will NOT do. Err, at least, not well. I would rather not subject, even my computer's hard drive, to that. But that does mean that we have oodles of random ideas crowding our mind. Not fun. (Or is it...?) But how can one not be inundated with such stuff when confronted with such a large cast that is that slashable? What do you expect? It's not practically cannon, it is cannon. I'm only human!

Thunder! Storm! Rain! Cloud! Mist! Sun! By your powers combined, I am the Vongola Tenth Boss!
Oh, yes. A wrong turn taken on the Internets (Or, rather, on Icka's fanfic archive....) has made it such that whenever we think of KHR, we think of Captain Planet. Curse you... And! Today's Cyanide and Happiness isn't helping with that.

Got a job at Job Lot. Got tired of waiting for the impossible (or at least, unlikely), however we're still hoping to be able to work at B & N. That would be ridiculously epic.

Have a chem project to do. Technically, we're only supposed to work on it in class, however that seems ridiculously stupid. Why not get extra work done at home? Honestly, now...

Found out today that both of my siblings are being Idiots. Each in their own, special way, but idiots none-the-less.

Right. Thassit, more or less.

NOW! I'm off to work on my project/imagine ways to slash Ryohei without completely them being completely OOC to the extreme! *WIN* Not nearly enough love out there for Ryohei...
